民進黨總統參選人蔡英文的副手敲定中研院副院長陳建仁，蔡英文昨天並未否認，只表示宣布副手時間還沒確定，競選總部在規畫中。
蔡英文昨天也在臉書貼文「菜鳥精神」，表示她的菜鳥精神要從二○○八年開始；接任民進黨主席之前，她並不認為自己是個「政治人物」，雖然從一九八○年代中期開始，她就參與國際經貿談判，隨後擔任陸委會主委、不分區立委、行政院副院長等職務，但直到二○○八年接任黨主席之後，她知道自己真正踏上了「政治路」。
蔡英文指出，「該做的事我會去做、該堅持的我會堅持」，是她在遭遇困難時，最常告訴自己的答案，「這，就是我的菜鳥精神」。
這篇臉書文，似乎在呼應她的副手人選陳建仁，有鼓勵陳拿出「菜鳥精神」、踏上「政治路」之意。
針對大選民調，蔡英文指出，長期追蹤這些民調，包括民進黨自己做的，還有外面的很多民調機構做的，「看起來整個選情應該是一個穩定的情況」。
>被問到國民黨總統參選人朱立倫的訪美層級和她差不多，蔡英文指出，美方一再對外表示，對台灣的總統參選人待遇都是一致的；美國在台灣的選舉裡，也是保持中立，沒有選邊站。她說，朱立倫去美國一切順利，也是鞏固台灣跟美國關係；民進黨也希望幾個主要政黨，在台美關係議題上共識程度能夠更高、更一致。
